My husband and I recently bought a home from the bank. Sold in as-is condition. 2 months have gone by and a building inspector shows up and says there is a court case on our home and we should go to the court if we don't want things to fall back on us. This is an ongoing case. since 2002.

It appears the addition and deck on our home were never signed off on the permits. a town inspector signed off on the work and a state inspector found lots of problems. Is there anything we can do? Lots more to say just not a lot of room.
