Is treason still a crime?

Some people (like me) think, everything wrong with government is rooted with lobbyists.

When a representative accepts money from a lobbyist. Doesn't that violate the representative principle? Instead of representing the voter, he/she is representing the lobbyist. Consequently, isn't that called, TREASON?

Is treason even a crime in the U.S.A. today? I've never heard of anybody being convicted of treason. Murder, robbery, accepting bribes, organized crime (the Ricco act?), but never treason.
