my boyfriend has been served a supbeona to appear in court for defrauding a bank. we have been making payments on it and it is over half way paid. we live in northern ontario and the court appearance is in southern ontario. it is cheaper for me rto pay the balance for him than it would be for him to travel to court. now my question is if i pay the balance off and send the courts the receipt proving that its paid. does he have to appear.
