im being sued by an appartment complex from 3 or 4 years ago. i was sixteen at the time and on my own. unable to get any place to accept a 16 year old tennant. i was advised to find a friend at least 19 to room up with me. so i found a friend who was interested. we moved in together and everything was fine. about 6 months later my friend decided he had to move out of the city. he moved and i was stuck with the whole rent. i spoke with the lady that managed the building. she said i had two options find a new room mate or someone to take the lease over. i tried and couldnt find either. one day while im at work the land lady called and said she had someone who would move in so i had to move soon. (not in writing over the phone) so at the end of that month i moved. only being sixteen i had to beg a relitive that had a truck to help me. we left a few things that i planned on getting the following days. when i came back to get it they said it had been thrown out. just yesterday i got a letter that said i have a judgement against me for 13,000 and change. and that i have a court date on the 11th of december to figure out how payment can be made. i never recieved any other paper work than what i got yesterday... i am broke and dont have money for a lawyer... what can i do??please help
