I bought a caravan with 2 friend back in August 2008 for £250 cash (£83per person)After we used the caravan one of my friends owns a haulage company and said he would take it up to his yard as he didn't want it said on his drive. Now after 14 months he has issue an invoice to the 3 of us for £300 for the storage, It was his idea to keep it there and he never mentioned anything about us paying for it to be there as his company wasn't a storage company at the time but it is now.At the time he was rebuilding his company as they went bust. All this is due to the fact that i split up with one of his employees. I dont beleive that he would charge his own wife and 2 family friends for anything, I think this is just a way of getting money out of me or for me to give up my share in the caravan.As he is saying he is charging us i have asked for an ivoice,I have never signed any contract or discussed any charges for the caravan being kept there as it was his idea. Is there anything i can do?
