My domestic partner's former partner defaulted on a credit card which had my partner's name on it. The card was never used at any address my partner lived at. Is there any way to have this debt removed from my partner's credit report?

Unfortunately there is no way to remove a bad mark from a credit report although if they are good with credit then they may consider repairing it by applying for a prepay credit card and topping it up from time to time as well as using it regularly.
If done correctly this can make a big difference to your credit report.
But obviously i'm one person with one opinion. You may want to consider other options from more qualified people.
