AOL did not cancel my account when I asked them to and now they are billing me for 8 months usage.....

What can I do I still have the email from them, see below....

With reference to your query regarding the cancellation of your AOL
Broadband account, we would like to inform you that since a Broadband
account is always cancelled with immediate effect, a cancellation
initiation today will stop your account with immediate effect.
Your AOL Broadband account is outside contract and the elapsed time is
29 months and 1 week only.
Your bill date is 4th of every month and you have paid up to your next
bill date.
May we therefore advise you that if you wish to use your AOL Broadband
account up until your next billing date ( As you have already paid for
this service in advance) and then deactivate it, you may then use the
following link

or contact our Member services department on 0844 499 5555 for
assistance.
Please be informed that if you wish to transfer the Broadband to other
service provider, let me inform you that you will need to have a MAC
code, once the MAC code is generated, you can give it to the new
Provider then the provider will use it and then only the Broadband
would be migrated .
If you cancel the account before getting the MAC code, it will hamper
the transferring of your Broadband service to your new provider.
However, if you wish to use the AOL screen name then once your account
is cancelled, within the next 24 hours, we request you to please sign on
to AOL, using our website www.aol.co.uk, using Internet Explorer or any
other browser using your AOL screen name.
We hope you reconsider your decision to leave AOL, and look forward to
seeing you online again soon.
