i have sent in over 500 dollars and still no computer after i was tols other wise. i wanted to cancel it but the customer service guy hung up with me and trsnsfered me to another person who couldnt help at all.....

I also was scammed from Blue Hippo. I never recieved my computer, printer, TV, etc. In 2006, I paid a down payment of $175 which was required to get started.Then each month they were taking money out of my checking account automactally. They toke over $800. I called to ask what was the status on my account and the customer service person hung up on me. I called back and got another person and they hung up. I called again and asked for a superviser, the person that I was connected to said that there was no phone number to call the main corporate that I would have to fax my complaint and he didn't have the fax number.

I'm trying to put together a lawsuit against Blue Hippo. Its mission to get them put out of business. They have TV commercials and radio commercials all over the country. Using our hard earn money to pay for them. And they will never send anything you order. And stupid me after I cancelled my computer order because they told me they would ship after 7 weeks and come 6 months later no laptop. So I cancelled that order online and ordered something less expensive since I had $800 bucks put in so far. And when I ordered something else they asked for a money order to pay for shipping. So I sent them another 49 bucks and still nothing. I started my account almost a year ago now. I just started trying to collect people to bring a mass law suit against Blue Hippo LLC. If you would like to join me please let me know. All I want is for everyone to get their money back and in hopes doing that put them out of business. Please tell everyone you know about their scams. I have sent them over $600 in payments in addition to the "necessary" paperwork and they have not sent me the promised product. I have had to call and cancel my bank account because of unathorized charges on BlueHippo's behalf.

I hate admit that I used to work for the company that Blue Hippo contracted to take their calls. It is called Harp Marketing. They are located here in Melbourne, FL. Their physical address is 2238 Sarno Road, Melbourne, FL 32935. The direct phone number is (321) 242-7663.

When you are hired they train you to scam, lie and cheat people. If someone calls in to buy something you are REQUIRED (required, meaning that you will be fired if you do not do this) to try to sell them more items and to also get the caller subscribe to what they call "clubs" which are money-saving memberships for discounts on travel and shopping and crap that you'll never get to use because these are such little no-name comanies that nobody honors their discount because nobody's ever heard of them. They offer you the first month for free and tell you that you can cancel and any time and if you cancel within the first 30 days you won't be charged for the 2nd month. In theory, this is true except that they take a month or more to get the membership materials mailed to you that has the number you have to call in order to cancel. I have also taken more than one call where the caller told me that they had been charged the $9.99/mo for a full year in advance for a total of almost $120.00. I don't know if it was true, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Harp Marketing is a major employer in this area and people who are desperate for a job will take this job even though they know what they're doing is unethical and possibly illegal. These people are just normal people like you and me who need to pay bills and feed their kids.

Do yourself a favor and NEVER buy anything over the phone without running a search on google to see what others have to say. Other products sold by Harp Marketing include: Smoke Away, Avacor, Steinhausen watches (they're junk), Mystery Shopper, Maxoderm (penis cream, probably their biggest account) and others frequently heard on radio ads and late-night infomercials.

If you google Harp Marketing you'll see more of what I'm saying from other people. When it comes down to it, if the deal is too good to be true, don't fall for it. Also, when using a credit card over the phone, don't use your ATM VISA/Mastercard, you can get a pre-loaded card from lots of places that will work just like a credit card.

i thought it was a good idea. called them, started the account with them. then got the paperwork in teh mail and never signed anything discarded, shredded what they sent me and forgot about it. ove the course of a few mo nths my money kept getting messed up and upon fu rther investigation i found out that blue hippo was taking my money with no signed authorization. furious i called and waited the two hour long wait time, fussed cussed and canceld my account. now they would not give me a refund but told me that i could have a store credit, they have over 500 bucks of my hard earned money. and after reading all this bad stuff about them i am scared to try to get something else from them, and when i try to order something less than what teh store credit is they say its unavailable.. and want me to send more mo ney for shipping and handling and taxes? wtf?!? i dont want to send more money i want my money back!! what can i do?>

Hey guys, I've completley paid of my computer. Before I paid off the computer completley, I recieved my laptop. I was only 2 payments away when the shipped it out. They lie about shipping the laptop out though. Make sure you ask Bue Hippo who the ship servicer is ex.(UPS,Fed Ex). If they have no answer, that means they havent really sent it yet. Once they do have an answer, contact the service, and track your order. I have not recieved my printer etc. yet, but im hopeing to get it. Blue Hippo is deffinatley parshily a scam. Stick to Ebay.

I can't believe how stupid/desperate some people are. Seriously, anyone who advertises on Jerry Springer, and modern music stations on the radio, is selling to people who aren't very intelligent. I wish people would take responsibility for their own actions in this country, instead of getting litigious. If most of the people, who got "took" by this company, had done even the tiniest amount of research, Blue Hippo would already be out of business. No one would have paid any attention to their ad's and they would have just faded away. Same for any number of companies that are being sued, for making a buck. That's the name of the game by the way. Make A Buck. There's nothing wrong with that, it's called capitalism, it's what this country was founded on and what it became great on.

OK, Shannon, that is really uncalled for. Yes, Capitalism is what makes our nation thrive, and it is barely doing that, but you have no right to patronize these people who have obviously been scammed. There is being stupid and there is getting ripped off. I am not affiliated with ,nor have purchased any merchandise with Blue Hippo, but I did consider it. Having not so great credit myself it looks like a promising way to get the merchandise the I need to attend school. I read there program information, and was turned off on this program because of the down payment and having to wait "6-13" weeks for the computer to arrive. A company should be required to offer a refund to it's customers if they are not satisfied with the results. The fact alone that a lot of these customers have not received their merchandise even past the amount of weeks they were told they would receive it is scandalous. Frankly, I am glad I was able to read these reviews before losing out on so much money for something that may never be in my posession. I think they do have a case, and should pursue this further. Given that Blue Hippo is a finance company, paying more than what the item is worth is inevitable, but not receiving it or not being able to get a refund should be looked in to further. In terms of finance and lay-away, there are such things as written and verbal agreements. The legality behind them is different for different states, but this company clearly posts that the item will be shipped after payments over 6-13 weeks and an applicable down payment has been made on their site. Please seek a barred lawyer who specializes in these matters to pursue this further. Possibly Civil, but since it's nationwide, I am not sure what the their specialty would need to be. Hi I also got swindled by blue hippo they keep telling me that they are waiting for my tracking number so that they can mail it to me and then finally send me the computer I have been waiting for since the beginning of the summer. I hope someone is able to sue them and that blue hippo gets what is coming to them. The sad part is that they still run those ads on tv saying how much they help people with bad credit. At least I was able to keep a few friends from making the same mistake that I made

Yes, I was told the same thing over and over again, we will receive it within the next few weeks. Well that went on for a year until I pay it off about 2,ooo dollars when I finish the last payment. Then they finillly sent it to me UPS in July and I was at work so they sent back my laptop and I still waiting. I have call I get the same answer we are waiting for comformation from ups, as of this week I have calling again and now I get a busy signal and the webside customer login is gone.

I am very disappointed that there are such crooked people in this world that are taking advantage of vulnorable people who already have it hard making ends meet. I sign up with Blue Hippo expecting to get a computer. I paid a $124 activation fee and was to pay $79 for 26 consecutive bi-weekly which would eventually amount to $1,903 after the $300 rebate. I was approx. $400 dollars away and still no computer. Is there anyway for me to get my money back? I agree with Lee from Miami. The owner of Blue Hippo and all involved in its criminal dealings will get theres 10x worst and there children's children 10x10. Sorry, but when you do wrong to honest people, payback not only affects you but those around you. So take that into consideration next time.
