i was pulled over with my partner 4 months ago, recieved a fine for speeding as it was during the holidays it was double points. due to the loss of points i would have lost my licence so i made a false statitory decloration stating my partner was driving and sent it in. since then i recieved a letter from queensland transport and opted to loose my licence for 3 months ending september 9 2010 the police recently arrived at my house and said i have to go to court for making a false decloration. what penalties do i face and should i get a lawyer to come with me?
