I got two felonies burglary B felony and theft D felony when I was 16 years old. I was then charged as an adult. I have changed my life dramatically after being released from jail. I went to drug rehab, got my high school diploma. They proceeded to go to College. I'm graduating this year but my convictions are getting in my way. I need to get an internship but I can't because I can not pass an background check. I also want to go to med school to be a Physical therapist (a doctorate) but can't get in or get my licensee with my convictions. It has been 5 years since I got in trouble. I recently got taken off formal probation and put on informal. My question is, is there anyway to get these convictions expunged? I don't want something I did as a dumb teen to have an effect on the rest of my life and my career. I also live in indiana.
