Getting married and then?

I'm italian and my fiancè is american. Can we get married if I go visit him this summer on a tourist visa since I'll stay 2 months and then go back to Italy? Also, he will be leaving for deployment right after for 8 months, what can we do to stay together when he will return? What kind of visa do I need? thank you!
