A lab tech- who wasnt certified to draw blood screens as it turns out- was sent to the ER where I worked as an RN by the hospital to draw labs one day, she approached me and asked if she could use my initials along with hers to verify it was my patient, i gave her verbal permission not thinking anything about it. Turns out she just signed my initials without hers and sent it to lab. I was fired a month later for falsification of patient records over the phone. I feel I was wrongfully informed by the tech and my initials were signed by someone else. I am just wondering if there is anything I can do to clear my name?
