Are you allowed to take breaks/a lunch when working a 9 hour shift in Iowa?

I worked at a company in Iowa that refused to let us take our breaks/lunches when we worked a 9 hour shift. Is there anything that makes this illegal?

you really should check with the Department of Labor in your area. Most businesses are required to post Labor Laws within plain sight. Good luck!
