Former employer reported incorrect hire date during background check

I just received a letter from a background check that was being processed for me to be hired by Comcast. It stated that my former employer who laid me off on 1/2/09 reported my hire date as 6/1/06 when in fact it was 5/31/05 almost a 9 month gap. Not only did it take me almost 6 months to find employment I will not be hired due to deception. What can I do?

Hi there! I am not paid for my last 2 days at my last work + my days holidays? My boss try to hidden all the tame, i recive only empty promises... What i can do? Can you help me,please?
